Lord Arthur Savile's Crime - at The Wharf

7.30pm, Wednesday 26th - Saturday 29th July 2006The Wharf Theatre, Devizes - www.wharftheatre.co.uk Ad Hoc is a new amateur drama group whose first production “Lord Arthur Savile's Crime”, was premiered at Hartham Park , Corsham in April. This highly acclaimed production, which played to full houses every night is now coming to the Wharf Theatre, Devizes. The comedy, based on a story by Oscar Wilde, and adapted for stage by Constance Cox, is set in the1890's. With its eccentric characters and absurd situations, it provides a delightful and hilarious theatrical treat. Directed by Pat Cannings, who has previously acted and directed for many years with the Shakespeare Live Company. She has gathered together the cream of local actors for this production, together with exquisite costumes by Veronica Randle and an elaborate set by her husband Graham, both well known to the Wharf.
